This paper plate reindeer craft is a fun painting project that kids of all ages can enjoy. Kids love to paint and it is a great way for them to be creative. Everyone has paper plates tucked away somewhere so pull them out and let the kids paint this adorable reindeer plate, it will keep those little hands busy for a while.

Materials:

Paper plate, brown, cream, and red acrylic paint, paintbrush, black marker, pencil, scissors, glue stick, pink and brown construction papers, cream felt fabric, silk ribbon, bell

Instructions:

Paint the paper plate brown then let it dry. Once the plate has dried, paint the nose area cream, and paint a nose with the red paint. Draw the eyes and mouth with a black marker, make sure you wait for the nose area to dry first. Draw two ears on the cream felt fabric, cut them out then glue them onto the plate. On brown paper, draw two antlers, cut them out, glue them onto the plate. On pink paper, draw two circles, cut them out, glue them on the face of the reindeer. Thread the bell onto the ribbon, glue the ribbon to the bottom of the plate, fold over the edges and glue them to the back of the plate.

Be sure to let the plate dry completely after painting the base color brown.

A nice thin tip marker will help draw the mouth and eyebrows.

If you don’t have any pink craft paper as an alternative you could use pink paint and paint on the cheeks.

You can use any ribbon you have, you don’t want it too wide, about 1-1.5 inch will work well.

If you do not have a bell no worries, just glue the ribbon on, you could use some smaller ribbon and add a bow.

All finished! Let your child display their painted reindeer so everyone can enjoy it.
